26/35 to passFCC Element 2. Entry-level US amateur licence: all amateur privileges above 30 MHz plus limited HF. Gateway credential for the VHF/UHF gear already on the bench.
Amateur Radio β General Class
26/35 to passFCC Element 3. Opens the majority of HF: worldwide voice, digital, and CW operation, with the propagation and antenna theory that go with it.
Amateur Radio β Amateur Extra Class
37/50 to passFCC Element 4. Full US amateur privileges. The pool is the deepest technical material in the amateur service: transmission lines, Smith charts, digital signal processing, complex impedance, and test equipment.
No exam, but real rules. Channel plan, power and antenna limits, repeater use, identification, and the FRS/GMRS/MURS boundary that trips up most operators using the handhelds already in the drawer.
Hands-on labs that turn exam abstractions into things you have seen on a screen: spectrum, modulation, filters, antenna resonance, propagation. Every lab names the hardware it needs and offers a no-hardware fallback.
Not a from-scratch Part 107 course β the certificate is already held. This track covers the recurrent-training knowledge areas and the places where drone operations meet radio: airspace and ATC comms, LAANC, aircraft band monitoring, C2 link spectrum, and Remote ID.
